Day 01 : Chennai
Welcome to Chennai! Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel for the overnight stay. Chennai, formerly known as Madras, is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and is known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful beaches, and delicious cuisine. Day 02 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram
Great! On your visit to Chennai, you can start your day with a visit to the historic Fort St. George, which was built in 1644 by the British East India Company. It is now the administrative headquarters of the state government and houses a museum that showcases various artifacts and exhibits related to the colonial period. Later, you can explore the bustling city of Chennai and its vibrant culture. In the afternoon, head to Dakshinachitra, a unique cultural village that showcases the rich and diverse art, architecture, and crafts of South India. After that, you can proceed to Mahabalipuram and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 : Mahabalipuram
You can start your day by exploring the magnificent 7th-century rock-cut temples of Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These temples are known for their intricate carvings and sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. After spending the morning exploring the temples, you can drive to Pondicherry in the afternoon, which is about 100 km away. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax for the evening. Pondicherry, also known as Puducherry, is a charming coastal town with a unique blend of French and Indian cultures.
Day 04 : Pondicherry
In the morning, you can start your city tour of Pondicherry by exploring the charming French Quarter with its unique architecture, cobbled streets, and quaint cafes. Visit the historic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the iconic French War Memorial, and the elegant Government Park.
Next, visit the Pondicherry Museum which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the region, including artifacts from the Chola and Pallava dynasties, as well as colonial-era relics.

Day 05 : Gangakondacholapuram – Darasuram
Gangakondacholapuram and Darasuram are two ancient temple towns located near Kumbakonam, known for their exquisite 10th-century temples that are architectural marvels. After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to these towns to explore their temples and learn about their rich history and culture. Gangakondacholapuram is home to the Brihadishvara Temple, which is similar to the one in Thanjavur and is adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. Darasuram is famous for the Airavatesvara Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features exquisite sculptures and intricate carvings. Later in the evening, check-in at a hotel/resort in Swamimalai for an overnight stay.
Day 06 : Swamimalai
There are a few options for traditional craft experiences in Swamimalai, including learning how to make bronze statues and pottery. Visitors can spend the day exploring these crafts and trying their hand at creating their own pieces. In the evening, there is usually a cultural program featuring music and dance performances that showcase the local traditions and customs. After the program, guests can return to their hotel or resort in Swamimalai for the night.
Day 07 : Karaikudi, Tanjore Temple
After breakfast, proceed to visit the famous Pullamangai Temple known for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. Then, visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple in Tanjore, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fine example of Chola architecture. You can also explore the nearby museum to learn more about the temple and its history. In the afternoon, drive to the Karaikudi district to explore the old merchant houses built in traditional style, which offer a glimpse into the life of wealthy Chettiar merchants. Day 08 : Dindugal

Guests can also take a tour of the nearby farms and learn about organic farming practices. Day 09 : Madurai
Drive to Madurai and check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum and Meenakshi Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Kovalam
Upon arrival in Kovalam, you can spend the day relaxing on the beach, which is renowned for its crescent-shaped stretch of white sand and clear waters. In the evening, take a stroll along the promenade and explore the local markets, where you can find a variety of souvenirs and handicrafts. You can also enjoy a traditional Ayurvedic massage or try out some of the local seafood delicacies at one of the beachside restaurants. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kovalam.

Day 12 : Thottapally
Morning drive to Thottapally, enroute visiting Krishnapuram Palace and check into your traditional Kettuvallam Houseboat. Travel through the lush green backwaters of Kerala observing the traditional lifestyle of the Keralites. You will see Temples, fishing, people tending their crops and coconut plantations as you drift through the canals. A unique and totally relaxing experience. Overnight on board the houseboat.
Day 13 : Kumarakom
Your houseboat will drop you at Coconut Lagoon Backwater Resort on the banks of the backwaters. Traditional Keralan cottages have been reconstructed in this secluded spot. Overnight at Coconut Lagoon.
Day 14 : Alleppey – Cochin
Transfer by motor boat to Alleppey and drive to Cochin. Afternoon sightseeing of Fort Cochin, Jewtown, Mattancherry Palace. Evening Kathakali Dance Performance. Overnight Heritage Fort – / Malabar House / Brunton Boatyard.
Day 15 : Cochin
Morning visit the Hilltop Palace and have a traditional lunch at the home of renowned Malabar Chef Mrs Nimmy Paul. In the evening watch a demonstration of Kalaripayyatu traditional Keralan Martial Arts. Overnight in Cochin.
Day 16 : Cochin
Departure transfer to Cochin airport for onward journey.
